Also killed, his driver, PC 5135 Yeung Peng Chong when he return fire at his assassins. During his funeral in Ipoh, about 20,000 peoples were attended including the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Abdul Razak, Deputy Prime Minister, Tun Hussein Onn and Inspector General of Police Tun Hanif Omar.
